Waterfront Lake Cabin 20 Mins to National Park & Skyline Dr.

To begin with the host - James was exceptional. He responded to every text within five minutes - very thorough. The property was lovely, very homey. We spent most of our time on and by the lake and time in the house was mostly in the screened in porch. Grilled steaks, made s'mores on the fire pit and spent late at night in the hot tub. Enjoyed our time at the home so much that we didn't do our usual activities when we visit Virginia - wineries and spending time in the mountains. We just couldn't pull ourselves away from all the fun at the house. Went to breakfast in a restaurant twice and cooked all our other meals at the house. Loved the house, the view, watching deer in the lake and yard, and especially family time hanging out together. Was peace and nature - just what our family needed. Would love to visit again!

Positive: Location, all the extra water equipment and other things that made the stay very easy. Bug spray, flash lights, life jackets, fans in every room, beach towels, etc. Negative: It was difficult getting the boat in the water, and there needed to be a few more baking pans.

We loved our stay! The house was exactly as described and had absolutely everything we needed. It was the perfect place for my kids and I to relax and just be for a week. We loved fishing right from the shore of the lake and really appreciated the kayaks, paddle boards and all the water gear. James had everything you could possibly need - kid sized life jackets, fishing rods, absolutely everything. The kitchen was very well stocked and everything worked great. We had a minor issue with ants and he sent supplies over the same day and had lined up someone to come and treat the area but didn’t actually need to. He was super quick to respond over text to every tiny question we had. The beds and rooms were great and exactly as described. Comfy linens and lots of extra pillows and blankets. The ac worked wonderfully. The home is clearly a treasured family spot and it shows. Thank you for having us!

This was our 4th time at this rental, and it never disappoints. So relaxing, yet has everything you need to have fun. Very well stocked with everything you need. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the beds were not very comfortable, but everyone has their own preference on what’s comfortable to them. Will definitely be returning again and again.
