Heron Hideout: Shenandoah Riverfront Retreat!

A lovely home with an incredible sunroom and everything you could need! James and his team were very responsive. I appreciated their immediate response when we arrive after dark and couldn't find the house.

This place is perfect for a couples getaway. The property is excellent, it was exactly what I was looking for for our anniversary weekend. It was steps away from the river bank and fire pit. The enclosed porch had a great view also and was great to relax in also. LOCATION was excellent. 15 minutes to the store/town, can get instacart delivery. Literally 3 minutes to the canoe rental place. (SRO)- It was nice and clean- Ample parking and not too difficult to find- The kitchen was well appointed pots, pans, there was even some spices and foil and plastic wrap. Kcuppot coffee maker. Nice big fridge with two ice makers - Plenty of towels for both shower and beach towels- Nice looking kayaks and paddles- Hot tub is right outside the main door, and is on the far side of the house so neighbors cant see you- There are steps down to the river, the river bank itself is steep, just take your time.- Had two fishing poles and a tackle box there, didn't fish, in the guest book someone said they caught a lot.- Comfy bed, hot shower.- Was nice because there was just woods to our left and across the river bank, nice and quiet and serene. There is a house next door, but it was a quiet family renting for us.- We put a couple of tubes in the water and tied off the the shore and relaxed some. (brought our own tubes and rope)

Awesome location right on the river. Quiet and peaceful. Recommend doing the kayaking trip with the local outfitter. Definitely will be back.
