! Cozy Cove near Fort Gregg-Adams: Perfect for 2 !

A great diamond in the rough. Positive: The private entrance and easy access from parking spot made the stay that much better. The location for the reason I was in the region could not be beat. Negative: There really wasn't anything I didn't like or wrong with the place or the owner support. It was a great stay all the way around.

Property is an obvious DIY that would not pass inspection. To begin with, the neighborhood is sketchy. Walk through grass to a door that has been improperly installed and drags the floor. No threshold. Washers extend latch so that the door will shut. Safety?! The steps leading in are different heights and there is not a hand rail. Dangerous! Bathroom is tiny with about 12 inches in front of toilet. Door is in front of toilet! All towel racks are next to toilet! Gross!! No privacy due to window over sink. You have to lean over toilet see into mirror. Placing privacy film over window and putting mirror over window will solve some problems. Mold on window sill. Musty smell in bathroom. Shower not properly sealed. Floor in front of bathroom is soft and gives. There is absolutely ZERO CONTROL OF AC/HEAT!!!!!! Owners have full control. Never found any sensors, so I’m sure they have no idea how uncomfortable it gets. AC came on for a few hours the first day, but no AC at night. Used fans, but that was insufficient. Two nights later heat kicked on at night and it became so hot, we had to turn on fans again! FURNITURE COVERS VENTS! This is not good for AC/heating. Furniture/shelves needs to be moved to allow for free flow of air. Smoke detector is at far side of bedroom. Not good if there ever was a fire. Mattress squeaks every time you move in the bed and the mattress is uncomfortable. Awake until 6 AM first night! Poor layout.

Perfect size for 1 or 2 people with just the right amount of amenities. Very convenient to Hopewell, Petersburg, and the Petersburg Battlefield. Also great for working while on a business trip.

Positive: Very small, cozy spot for a quick stay getaway from home kind of thing. All my needs were met and went above and beyond to ensure it was a good stay.
