Pet friendly and great location for riding the Virginia Capital Trail end to end.

Positive: Cozy, as the name says.
The home was nicely updated and clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac. The host was exceptionally responsive to our needs and readily available to help. There was an issue with a worn-out "enter" button on the main TV. The host came by and checked it out and had us a new one the next day.
The place had everything needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely consider this property again for our next trip to the area.
Negative: The furniture on the deck was unusable, as the weaved rattan was broken or ready to break. The shower was a little finicky. It was hard to regulate temperature and pressure.
In fairness to the host, we did not mention it. I'm certain that upon this review, they will address this. As mentioned, they were very responsive and cordial.
These are minor things, but it is worth mentioning.

Close to everything!
Cute country home centrally located between Richmond and Colonial Williamsburg and all the sites you want to see in the area. We enjoyed staying in this home. It was perfect size for four adults. The beds were comfy and kitchen was perfect size with everything we needed.

Enjoyed Our Stay
We regularly schedule VRBO homes when we travel by car with our small dogs, rather than staying in pet-friendly hotels. We bring a "playpen" and protective floor cover out of respect for both owners and future renters. We've had mixed experiences in the quality of properties that allow pets. My wife's #1 requirement is cleanliness. She was very impressed with James' property when we entered. The furnishings were all in excellent (some brand new!) condition and the house appeared spotless. It was roomy and comfortable. We immediately set up the dogs in the secondary living area to give access to the deck and back yard. We checked out but did not use the upstairs bedroom with sitting area. While the ceilings were low, there was still clearance enough for me to walk easily down the middle of the room. It would be a great place for children to hang out and sleep. We didn't mind that there was one small bathroom, but the water pressure in the shower was very weak. This is one of very few issues we had. Two bedrooms flanked the bathroom. Both had adequate space for one person, but might feel cramped with two people and their belongings. One of the two queen beds had a noisy plastic mattress protector, which was annoying but easily could be remedied with a product like was on the other bed. Both rooms had wall-mounted smart TVs that could be used with your own subscriptions, with Roku.
The kitchen was well-furnished with plenty of glasses/dishes/silverware, a dual-brew
