Positive: Cozy, as the name says.
The home was nicely updated and clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac. The host was exceptionally responsive to our needs and readily available to help. There was an issue with a worn-out "enter" button on the main TV. The host came by and checked it out and had us a new one the next day.
The place had everything needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely consider this property again for our next trip to the area.
Negative: The furniture on the deck was unusable, as the weaved rattan was broken or ready to break. The shower was a little finicky. It was hard to regulate temperature and pressure.
In fairness to the host, we did not mention it. I'm certain that upon this review, they will address this. As mentioned, they were very responsive and cordial.
These are minor things, but it is worth mentioning.

Convenient to Virginia Capital Trail
This little house is comfortable and out in the country so it’s very quiet. It’s about 6 miles south to the Virginia Capital Trail where we rode our bikes.
We found the property matched the description on VRBO.
There could be a few more kitchen basics included. There was coffee and that’s about all. We did advise James there was a lack of salt and pepper ( a very basic kitchen need for breakfast) and that he corrected that issue the next day. Kitchen pots and pans need to be retired and replaced.
Other than that, our stay was pleasant and communication with the host was excellent.

Great spot
Positive: Everything was great.
Negative: House smelled like “old wood” hard to explain. But not terrible.

Quiet, cute, break from city life where your whole family is welcome.
Positive: We were so happy we found a dog friendly place to stay. We may have missed an important event had we not lucked out with place. Plus, there isn’t a bunch of questions about the dogs to stress you out. Simple- how many (up to two) and pay the pet fee. The house is open and cute. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and we felt safe and welcome. There is a foodlion very close by and a few local spots to eat. We enjoyed our stay even though it was a quick turn around. Again, so thankful we found a pet friendly house! The house has great AC/heat and lots of ceilings fans. It’s decorated simply and beautifully. The full length mirror and natural light was a great too. This is a much better stay than a hotel especially if you are quiet homebodies like us. Just make sure you have everything you want/need before you head home. This isn’t the city with Walmarts and Wawa around the corner! Give them a try!
Negative: The only thing that I can say would be showering was a bit difficult. The water pressure is low so it takes a good amount of time to get the soap off you and shampoo from your hair. A detachable shower wand may help bring the water closer. A couple larger door mats at the entrance would help keep the floors cleaner. We were fortunate that we had good weather but it began to rain when we were packing up and we were tracking up the floors easily.
